About Dar Tempo

Concrete basin vanity in 80 East, a Dar Tempo stay in Amsterdam

Dar Tempo is a small rental and design studio built around a single conviction: good rooms, like good bread, refuse to be hurried. Everything we make is finished to a touch rather than to a shine.

On this site you can reserve two homes in Amsterdam, 80 East and 13 West, each composed as a study in material calm: matte black slate, hand-troweled plaster, wide-wale corduroy, and dark herringbone oak. You can commission the atelier for renovation and interior work, where raw concrete, warm walnut, and soft linen are treated as one continuous language. And you can join the commons, a slow-growing circle of people who believe design should be lived in rather than looked at.

The houses are for travellers who would rather stay somewhere with a soul than somewhere with a checklist. The atelier is for homeowners who want their rooms to hold time gracefully, and who are willing to give a project the weeks it quietly asks for. The commons is for everyone who finds that pace worth keeping.

Dar Tempo is a female-founded studio, shaped by its founder and her partner across Amsterdam, Milan, and Emilia-Romagna. Every photograph, room, and renovation is considered in-house, with a small circle of collaborators brought in where the work calls for it. We call the result Tactile Temporalism: warm, honest materials, thoughtful spaces, and the belief that the best things are given the time to become.
